TransmetriQ Selected as a Finalist for 2023 NC TECH Awards

TransmetriQ – a Railinc Brand has been selected as a finalist for the NC TECH Awards in the manufacturing and supply chain category. The NC TECH Awards is North Carolina's only statewide technology awards program that recognizes innovation, growth and leadership in the tech sector and is presented by the NC TECH (North Carolina Technology Association).

TransmetriQ is a Railinc brand that specializes in rail optimization software for shippers and fleet managers. The TransmetriQ Platform is a flexible platform designed to facilitate and simplify the entire rail shipping process from billing to supply chain visibility and reporting.

“Railroads have been a critical part of the North Carolina economy since the 1800s. As railroads have increased reliance on data and technology for safe, efficient day-to-day operations, shippers have as well,” says Mika Majapuro, TransmetriQ VP. “Shippers need accurate, comprehensive and real-time visibility of shipment location, status and ETA. That’s where our rail management platform comes in – translating big data into actionable insights. With our parent company Railinc and a wealth of tech talent right here in the Triangle, we’re proud to call NC home.”

“For over 20 years, NC TECH has celebrated companies, organizations and individuals for outstanding achievement at the NC TECH Awards. As a finalist this year, TransmetriQ has distinguished itself as one of the state’s innovative and emergent leaders,” stated Brooks Raiford, NC TECH’s President and CEO.

“We’re honored to be named a finalist for the NC TECH Awards,” says Majapuro. “We’re a technology company with deep rail knowledge. This puts us in a unique position to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to drive greater efficiencies and realize greater insights.”
