Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, has named Danny Dever, Senior Product Manager at TransmetriQ - a Railinc brand as one of the winners of the 2023 Pros to Know award.
The annual Pros to Know award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage.
“It’s an honor to be recognized among this year’s class of Pros to Know,” Dever said. “Over the past year at TransmetriQ, we launched a new, full-featured rail TMS and the team worked tirelessly to make that launch a success. I'm proud to represent the TransmetriQ team with this award.”
“This year’s list is filled with supply chain professionals whose achievements and success stories have helped move the needle in the supply chain. They promote safety, sustainability and workforce development. They work toward helping heal the supply chain. They’re actually in the supply chain,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “We received close to 400 nominations this year, the highest number of nominations ever for this award. It’s proof that today’s supply chain professionals are doing great things for the supply chain. They embody what a true leader should be. And, without their initiatives, programs and collaborative efforts, today’s supply chains would be in worse shape.”
As a product manager with more than two decades of supply chain experience in both logistics and technology, Dever brings a unique perspective to his work at Railinc. Dever has worked closely with shippers, ports, 3PLs, and other transportation companies to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Most recently, Dever spearheaded the development of a TMS built specifically for rail, RMS, that simplifies and optimizes shipping by rail. "It's no secret that rail is complex. We conducted 100 plus interviews with rail shippers, and found that often, shippers rely on a single subject matter expert," Dever said. "We designed RMS to guide and optimize the complete shipment lifecycle, from booking and billing freight to analyzing operations and managing exceptions. The goal is to make rail shipping simpler and smarter—without the hassle."
In 2022, Dever helped shippers solve challenges such as inaccurate ETAs, empty inbound visibility, disjointed shipment booking processes and more.
